Holy Purity
Acrylic on Plywood, PVC, 2016
I believe purity is an epitome of holiness that is rare. I tried to depict the moment of facing such purity by giving dimensions to the drawings of children. The purity was portrayed as razor-sharp shapes to express that although people think purity is easy to access, it is in fact not. This artwork, seemingly contradictory to its original meaning, represents the purity of children, something that should be untouched.

Cluster of cloud
Fluorescent paints on fabric, 2016
“What comes to your mind when you think of clouds?” This joint project began with the above question and carried out in interaction with kids. Before the project, the kids were given time to share their ideas of what colors they think they should use, what shapes came to their minds and what the texture of the clouds would be like. The fabric was painted in the colors from the children’s imagination, which resulted in the creation of new clouds that resulted from mixing colored fabric by the children and shapes of the clouds that I imagined. Through this project, I wanted to realize the imagination of the children’s view of the clouds into a 3d instillation project.
