My name is Taejung Kim, I come from South Korea.For me, Art is a tools to express what I am thinking, what I have interest in, and all my emotions. What I have in my mine is express in various colors and brush strokes. So, my artworks, especially, painting look abstract and are in the boundary between abstractionism and realism. I like my techniques and colors, because those elements are vivid feeling at that time.
For these reasons, my teaching philosophy is focus on exploring and expressing the self. This is because students, even adults do not know how to express their thought and emotions. Therefore, sometimes, thought and emotions are expressed in aggressive way. I just let them know that “your thoughts and emotions can be expressed in beautiful and persuasive ways”.
